The Deal
Prices of winter sails to the Caribbean will soon be through the roof so we recommend you book now for a sunny cruise holiday later. We found a threesome of stellar bargains to the Caribbean, all departing in January. Discounts run as high as 71 percent and prices drop as low as $249. Just pick between your desired cruise line — Carnival, Norwegian or Holland America — and off you sail for a song.

Western Caribbean with Carnival for $249
For a fantastically reduced price, we recommend the four-night Western Caribbean sailing with Carnival this January. This cruise is now on sale for 71 percent off the rack rate! Indeed, inside cabins start at a mere $249. With two scheduled departures (January 11 and 25) roundtrip from Tampa, this fling visits Mexico’s Cozumel and covers two entire days at sea. All of that happens aboard Carnival fun-filled Inspiration, a casual ship with a plethora of leisure facilities onboard. Oceanview cabins on this journey can be booked for only $319, while suites on the January 11 cruise sell for $629.

Texaribbean sea fling with Norwegian for $399
More good news for cruise fans! Inside cabins on a weeklong Texaribbean cruise with Norwegian are now selling for $399; oceanview units go for a mere $429. The listed price of $1199 has plummeted by a whopping 67 percent! Choose one of four January departures roundtrip from Houston. The itinerary includes stops in Mexico’s Progreso, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel plus a visit to Belize City. Also thrown in are three days at sea aboard Norwegian Dream of which CruiseCritic writes, “with a wide array of activities, dining and entertainment, this ship offers a cruise experience that appeals to guests of all ages.”

Sail Southern Caribbean with HL for $849
For an upscale cruise treat this winter, we recommend the 11-night Southern Caribbean voyage aboard Holland America’s new Noordam. This sea fling priced at $849 saves you 61 percent off two January departures (Jan 6 and 27). The sparkling ship, launched earlier this year, hits high seas roundtrip from New York, visiting six Caribbean islands and spending four days at sea. The island destinations on the repertoire are Tortola, St Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St Maarten and Puerto Rico. Oceanview units on both January trips cost only $100 more! On the earlier sailing, balconied staterooms go for $1199 while suites sell for $1799.

The Dollars
Per person prices above include ship accommodation (see details above), most of your onboard meals and drinks, as well as port charges. You’ll have to cover the cost of government taxes and fees; shore excursions; gratuities; and alcoholic beverages. Plus, of course, airfare!

The Catch
Don’t overspend on holiday gifts so you can enjoy onboard extras on these cruises.
