The body of a man was discovered inside a burning home in Warren County Sunday morning. Warren County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Wyatt was on routine patrol around 8:45 a.m., when he observed flames coming from the rear of 6710 Hendrickson Road in Turtlecreek Township, near the Middletown City limits.

Wyatt called for assistance from the fire department and attempted to enter the house, but was unable to because of the flames and smoke.

Firefighters from Middletown and Turtlecreek Township arrived quickly and were able to bring the fire under control. Once firefighters were able to enter the home, they discovered the man's body in an upstairs bedroom.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office, Warren County Coroner's Office and State Fire Marshal's Office are jointly investigating the fire and death.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said they will release further information once an autopsy has been performed and the body has been positively identified.
