Michigan authorities removed an infant from a Michigan couple after police found the 4-week-old unsecured in a car's back seat with a pacifier taped in the baby's mouth with adhesive tape.
According to WHMI-FM, the infant was taken into protective custody Wednesday after state police troopers noticed the infant without a safety seat during a traffic stop.
The baby's 19-year-old father and 18-year-old-mother were taken into custody and released pending possible charges.
State Police would not release the parents' names or the gender of the child.
