A 26-year-old Texas woman who says she was humiliated by having to spend her wedding night in jail has filed a complaint with Texas authorities.

Jade Puckett filed the complaint over a picture of her in her wedding dress taken in the courtroom. Her complaint says the episode turned the best day of her life into her worst nighmare.

She and Billy Puckett were arrested after their March 14 reception during a Harris County sweep targeting drunken drivers.

Billy Puckett was charged with driving while intoxicated. Officers charged his bride with public intoxication after she became belligerent.

She says she was kept in a cell overnight, still in her wedding dress, with 15 or 20 other arrested women. She says male deputies opened the cell door at least three times to point her out to other jailers. And she says they "seemed to be enjoying themselves."

Sheriff's Maj. Fred Brown tells the Houston Chronicle that authorities would review jail videos to see if Puckett's complaints are valid.
