Walt Disney World is raising the ticket prices for its theme parks.

Disney last raised its admission prices in August 2008.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Friday that the base price of a one-day, one-park adult ticket will increase from $75 to $79. The same ticket for a child between the ages of 3 and 9 will go from $63 to $68. Prices for the resort's multiday ticket packages also will rise. The new prices will go into effect Sunday.

The ticket increases come a day after the Walt Disney Co. announced its third-quarter profit dropped 26 percent, as slower DVD sales pushed its movie studio into the red.
