NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reis, Inc. (Nasdaq:REIS) ("Reis" or the "Company"), a leading provider of commercial real estate market information and analytical tools, announced that on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, it purchased a block of 100,000 shares of Reis's common stock on the open market, pursuant to its stock repurchase program. The purchase price of the shares was $6.90 per share.

Lloyd Lynford, President and CEO, stated, "Although our stock price has increased 162% since our first bulk repurchase in March 2009, we continue to view our shares as significantly undervalued in light of Reis's recent performance, prospects and intrinsic value. We believe that this purchase represents an outstanding investment on behalf of all of Reis's current stockholders. Since the initial authorization of the plan in December 2008, we have repurchased approximately 7.5% of the outstanding stock of the Company."

On June 10, 2010, Reis's Board of Directors authorized a $1,000,000 increase in Reis's earlier announced repurchase program relating to shares of its common stock, to an aggregate amount of $4,000,000. As of today, Reis has repurchased an aggregate of over 822,000 shares of its common stock at an average price of $4.73 per share, for an aggregate purchase price, including commissions, of approximately $3,893,000. Reis has approximately $107,000 remaining under the program.

Purchases under the program may be made from time-to-time in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions. Depending on market conditions, financial developments and other factors, these purchases may be commenced or suspended at any time, or from time-to-time, without prior notice and may be expanded with prior notice.

Reis SE is designed to meet the demand for timely and accurate information to support the decision-making of property owners, developers and builders, banks and non-bank lenders, and equity investors, all of whom require access to information on both the performance and pricing of assets, including detailed data on market transactions, supply, absorption, rents and sale prices.
