LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Green Globe International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GGII) today announced changes to its corporate website, www.greenglobeint.com , to reflect the company's current focus, brand licensees, management team, and other details. The website now includes a clarification that Green Globe International's certification services do not include building and building operation assessment in the U.S. This clarification was part of the company's recent settlement of a brand dispute with the Green Building Initiative (GBI), the exclusive owner of the U. S. trademark, GREEN GLOBES(R), which is used in connection with an assessment protocol, rating system, and guide for environmentally friendly building operations and designs of new and existing buildings in the United States.

Included in the information updated on the site is the addition of a recent business plan executive summary in the "About" section of the site and a section for Green Globe Limited, the UK company that owns the Green Globe brand. Green Globe International is an 88% majority owner of Green Globe Limited. The company intends to link this new section to a planned Green Globe Ltd. website highlighting its ownership of the Green Globe brand.

The information on the home page has been updated so that it includes the environmental, tax and other credit programs that the company is currently pursuing in cooperation with FiscallyGreen(SM) and Green Giant Venture Fund. Each of the major content sections on the home page have been revised to reflect their current status, and the site itself now has a landing page for first time visitors, which will help to direct them to the proper web destination.

Several changes to the management section bring up-to-date information on the company's Board of Directors, officers and advisory board members.

Additional changes will be made in the next several days to update the company's strategic partnerships and other affiliations.

"Our website is an important channel to communicate the company's message to shareholders, the public markets and stakeholders located around the world," said Green Globe International Managing Director and CEO Steven R. Peacock, who also serves as director of Green Globe Limited. "Due to a number of changes that have occurred over the past several months, as well as those that have been finalized in the past few weeks, the site needed to be updated. We have included new information on the environmental, tax and other credit programs that we are currently pursuing, while retaining information in the business areas where the brand has been active for many years. We are pleased that these changes have now been made and that the company is more accurately represented on its website."

The Green Globe brand and program, which traces its roots back to the United Nations Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit in 1992, where 182 Heads of State endorsed the Agenda 21 principles of Sustainable Development, has primarily been used in the travel and tourism industry but is now being expanded to include a growing number of environmentally responsible businesses in a variety of market sectors. The Green Globe brand is an ideal symbol for the world's increasing awareness of environmental responsibility and response to global climate change.

The company encourages all shareholders and others interested in following the progress of the Green Globe brand to subscribe to receive email alerts whenever new information is made public. To subscribe, please visit http://www.greenglobeint.com/stayconnected/email/ .
