NEW YORK, Jan. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TIE Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:TTCS), who is a diverse holding company specializing in science and technology driven companies focused on proprietary smart logistics for Homeland Security, environmental and disaster remediation, telemetrics, and advanced IT solutions, today announces the release of its Smart Environmental Services Division (SES) new disaster recovery response 'TRIPLE PLAY' – The Quick Response Disaster Solution.

Tie Technologies' SES Division, the creator of the OilDam™ product, is meeting the challenges of environmental protection and disaster recovery through innovative integrated 'smart' ecological products that provide eco-protection and eco-restoration solutions.

"During the initial stages of all natural disaster, emergency relief tends to focus on time-critical life saving activities; the presence of a suitable water supply, conditions necessary for adequate sanitation, and secure shelter are the three most essential factors following a disaster" – United Nations World Health Organization (WHO). Tie Technologies has created 'TRIPLE PLAY' – The Quick Response Disaster Solution, to address the critical and unmet emergency relief need for consolidated portable water, sewage, and shelter requirements associated with environmental disasters.

Mark Marangella, TIE Technologies EVP and Smart Environmental Systems Division President, stated, "It appears that the numbers of natural disasters in the world are growing due to the environmental impact of climate change. The challenge is being able to meet these disasters with a comprehensive and effective remedial solution, that has been so lacking in the Haitian crisis and most recently in the Sri Lanka disaster. The 'TRIPLE PLAY' offers an inexpensive, easily deployable, consolidated emergency disaster relief solution to satisfy the three most basic and critical needs of every affected individual."

The 'TRIPLE PLAY' includes a Water Solution that can place portable, fully biologically controlled, clean water bladder reservoirs in strategic locations within the disaster area that best support the post disaster requirements; a Sewage Solution that can provide onion shaped, geo-sewage tanks which are self-standing sewage holding and processing tanks; and a Shelter Solution that can provide portable, easily assembled, single and multi-family sized geodesic shaped 'Geo-Dome' shelters composed of ruggedized, weather proof, synthetic materials.

Data obtained from embedded 'smart' sensors, which check the status of water pH levels and temperature; sewage biodegrading processing status; and ambient shelter temperatures can be carried, via a LEO satellite global network, to the designated monitoring and coordination center. This represents an unprecedented and unified 'mobile' and quick response solution to global disasters with the possibility of having the 'TRIPLE PLAY' air dropped or driven-in or shipped to the disaster area and quickly assembled and activated.

Smart Environmental Systems (SES) is a single source engineering and technology company that offers products and services, coupled with technology, to meet the challenges its clients face. From catastrophic oil spills to monitoring structural integrity in critical infrastructures, SES responds and delivers "Smart" solutions that leverage technology.
