A group of 24 Canadian factory workers arrived at the Ontario lottery headquarters on Monday to claim a $50 million lottery jackpot, local media reported.

The workers, who all work the same shift at the Bombardier aircraft plant, were being interviewed by lottery officials to determine if their claim was legitimate and to validate their winning ticket, CTV reported.

The group of men all work the same shift at the plant, the Toronto Star reported. Work at the plant reportedly ground to a halt as fellow employees congratulated the group and asked questions, union spokesman Scott McIlmoyle told the Star. The workers were told to take the rest of the day off.

One man told the Star he was "shaking" when he entered the building.

"It’s hard to believe," said Chris Dale, 53. "We just do it once and awhile."

A spokesman for the lottery would not reveal the place where the ticket had been purchased. That information would be included in the validation process, the spokesman told CTV.
