PITTSBURGH, March 18, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HWI Global, Inc., the Pittsburgh-based clean room design builder recently merged with IVT Software, Inc. (OTCBB:IVTW), announces commencing a contract to provide USP 797 consultation and interior fit and finish services for the new University of North Carolina (UNC) Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy Renovation at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.

The renovation of the Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy, a specialty area of pharmacy practice dedicated to the compounding and dispensing of radioactive materials for use in nuclear medicine procedures, is an expansion of UNC Hospitals' School of Nuclear Medicine. UNC Hospitals began as North Carolina Memorial Hospital in 1952. Having grown to become a major academic medical center, dedicated to providing advanced healthcare in patient care and medical research, UNC Hospitals was recently chosen by U.S. News & World Report as one of "America's Best Hospitals."

Deric A. Haddad, CEO, HWI Global states, "We always look for the opportunity to expand our clean room expertise into specialized areas like Nuclear Medicine Pharmacies that dispense Radiopharmaceuticals. When HWI learned it had a chance to work with UNC Hospitals, an institution that provides health services for the entire state of North Carolina, we created a new division of specialty within our infrastructure to facilitate this exceptional organization. HWI Global was chosen for the project by MHA Works, a progressive healthcare architectural firm in Durham, NC. Consequently, we expect more projects of this nature."
