Endurance Announces Pricing of $230 Million Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Share Offering

PEMBROKE, Bermuda, May 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced the pricing of $230 million of 7.5% Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares, Series B (the "Preferred Shares"), with a liquidation preference of $25.00 per share, which included the exercise in full of the underwriters' overallotment option. Endurance expects to receive the proceeds from the sale of the Preferred Shares on June 1, 2011. Except in certain limited circumstances, the Preferred Shares are not redeemable prior to June 1, 2016. After that date, the Company may redeem at its option, in whole or in part, the Preferred Shares at a redemption price of $25.00 per share. Endurance intends to list the Preferred Shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
