Smack Apparel, makers of Tressel's Tattoo and Pawn t-shirt has Michigan fans smiling again with its latest spoof.

TAMPA, Fla., June 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY: To Michigan fans those are the four most obnoxious words in the English language, especially when uttered by some loud, arrogant Buckeye fan bragging about THE Ohio State's 9-1 record against the Wolverines in the last decade.

But the times, oh how they are changing.  News stories continue to roll out of Columbus about misdeeds and scandal involving Ohio State, Jim Tressel, and now possibly their president and athletic director.  Some say champagne can be heard popping not just all over Michigan but throughout the Big Ten.  To Wolverine fans, watching the meltdown of their bitter rival is like watching the OJ trial; they just can't get enough.

Smack Apparel, a small manufacturer of smack-talking sports-themed t-shirts delighted OSU detractors everywhere with their now-famous Tressel's Tattoo and Pawn-shirt which lampooned the former Ohio State coach.  Smack's newest shirt, however, has Michigan fans howling as it spoofs the iconic logo of  Ohio State.  THE OHIO SCANDAL UNIVERSITY is perfectly crafted in the look of the official Ohio State logo but so cleverly is not.  On the back it reads:  WOODY PUNCHED'EM ... TRESSEL LIED TO 'EM ... TERRELLE SOLD 'EM!  with three small images shown below: a red number 2 jersey, a pair of scarlet and gray football cleats and a conference championship ring (items pawned by their players which triggered the NCAA investigation).

"For the business that we are in, it might not get any better than this" says Wayne Curtiss, owner of Smack Apparel.  "If your rival has beaten you as much as Ohio State has beaten most in the Big Ten, seeing them fall is as cherished as beating them on the field." Curtiss said they have already received orders from other Big Ten markets besides Michigan including State College, Madison and West Lafayette.

Michigan fans will at least have a few new shirts to wear this fall. Word has it that Desmond Howard (Michigan '91) has already requested a few.  Maybe he's sending them over to his pal Kirk Herbstreit (Ohio State '92).  Love those rivalries!
