CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., June 23, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- To deepen its relationship with schools and school districts, Mondo, the global leader in the sports flooring market, has introduced a new program for the education market. MONDO – Schools for Tomorrow extends value-added benefits, premium service and economies of scale to customers who buy large quantities of Mondo products.

"For 30 years, Mondo has invested heavily in the education market, developing products to improve the indoor air quality—and, by extension, the overall learning environment —of schools across North America," said Federico Stroppiana, president of Mondo North and South America. "We understand the needs of the students and staff who use our surfaces and the concerns of school administrators and facility staff, and we have continually adapted to meet their evolving needs. This new program demonstrates our commitment to continue providing our education customers with the highest quality products and the best possible service."

Any district that has purchased at least 50,000 square feet of Mondo indoor product, or 150,000 square feet of Mondo outdoor product, in one calendar year will be a member of the MONDO – Schools for Tomorrow program through Dec. 31 of the following calendar year.

Value-added benefits available to qualifying MONDO – Schools for Tomorrow program members include:

  • A student scholarship for a graduating senior of the school district's choice
  • Indoor and outdoor maintenance equipment
  • A maintenance seminar for school district maintenance and administrative staff
  • Marketing opportunities
  • Extended warranties
  • Priority product manufacturing to ensure that installation and construction timelines are adhered to and to minimize the risk of cost overruns for the school district

In addition, school district personnel who purchase a specified minimum amount of Mondo product will be eligible to participate in the Mondo Vision Committee, an advisory group that will help the company continue to improve its products to better serve schools' needs.

A dedicated website, , offers detailed information about the program as well as content tailored to the education market, such as projects, case studies, testimonials and project customer support contacts.
