The iconic Gloria and Emilio Estefan sat down with Today's Hoda Kotb and had a big reveal: who will play the couple in the upcoming Broadway musical "On Your Feet," based on their relationship.
Two young Latino stars, Ana Villafañe and Josh Segarra, will play the Cuban-American couple who have been married 37 years, a rarity in show business.
"I grew up performing her songs at talent shows - and I went to her same high school," said a smiling Villafañe as she and Chagora joined Emilio and Gloria on the Today set.
Gloria recounted laughing how she was only 17 when she met her "boss" at the time - Emilio - who was only four years older.
"We don't believe in love at first sight - maybe lust at first sight - it took a while," said Gloria, whose string of hits in both English and Spanish have made her a household name.
The show "On Your Feet" previews in Chicago on June 2nd and on Broadway on October 5th, and tickets became available Monday.
