A mixture of celebrities, thinkers and athletes will mingle with President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande Tuesday night at the state dinner honoring France.

Comedian Stephen Colbert, filmmaker J.J. Abrams and actress Mindy Kaling are some of the most notable names expected to be in attendance at the event.

Also invited is former NBA player Jason Collins, who was heralded by the president and First Lady Michelle Obama for being the first major sports athlete to come out as gay. Edith Windsor, whose challenge to the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act ended up in front of the Supreme Court, will also be in attendance.

Tesla Motors and SpaceX head Elon Musk is also on the invite list, along with a bevy of notable Washington names like Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Mary J. Blige will perform at the dinner.

Hollande is the first head of state Obama has honored with a state dinner in his second term. Ahead of the ceremonies the president gave Hollande a custom designed table built with some wood from a fallen oak tree at Mount Vernon, the home of President George Washington.
