St. Patrick's Day tweets mixed with complaints about Google Drive and other apps Monday afternoon, as users reported an inability to access the file storage and sync service, Google Hangouts+, Gchat and Google Spreadsheets.

After beginning at 12:22 PM ET, the outage continued for about three hours; Google reported on its Apps Status Dashboard that the problem was resolved for all users as of 3:28 PM ET. The last major outage was in late February, when several apps were inaccessible to some for over five hours.

The Internet-monitoring website Is It Down Right Now? had not detected any connection errors with Drive, through which many of these apps can be accessed, but did acknowledge it had received 135 user complaints.

Twitter painted a more colorful picture of the outages. Many users lamented an inability to get work done because they could not access the apps, which are used by more than 5 million businesses (according to Google). Others quipped that perhaps Google was busy celebrating.
