Who wouldn’t want a TARDIS photo booth at their next event? I couldn’t imagine a cooler object to have at a wedding, birthday party, retirement shindig, you name it. Just imagine, you could build your own time-traveling space ship — and because it’s relatively small, you can just leave it completely assembled in your house all the time!
The booth pictured above is completely portable and can be put together and taken apart by a single person in just a few minutes (you could make that into a contest at the end of the party). It’s 4 feet-by-4 feet and made its debut at a wedding. In fact, it was the star of the reception:
It was a huge success, as the photobooth was busy all night. In fact, the only time I was not manning the booth was during the father-daughter dance, the cake cutting and the bouquet toss. Other than that, two of us were busy all night manning the booth. I didn’t even eat any of the food I had paid for!Good news …the BBC has granted me full permission to use the booth commercially, so I can now proceed to recover my costs. Interestingly, out of 270-plus guests, only one person knew what a TARDIS was, and he had a picture taken of himself exiting it, and its now his profile picture on Facebook.
One of these days when I learn how to use a saw, making a TARDIS is on my list.
Check out a video showing off how the booth comes together after the break.
