A family-owned supermarket saga with as many twists as "Game of Thrones" took a dramatic turn Friday as one faction said it would "seriously consider" its rival's offer to buy it out. The board of the Northeastern regional chain of Market Basket grocery stores issued the statement Friday after a week of bare shelves and boycotts. Ignoring orders to return to work, employees had protested after the ouster of a popular CEO credited with the store's success, Arthur T. Demoulas, by a board controlled by his cousin, Arthur S. Demoulas. The firing appeared to bring decades of internecine feuding between the two sides to a head.
