The freeze is back. Here’s what to watch out for, whether you’re going by plane, train, or automobile.

Planes: Nearly 2,600 flights are canceled and 3,800 are delayed. Airlines are waiving ticket change and cancellation fees for affected Northeast airports. Already 537 flights for Wednesday were canceled. Unwinding the fallout will likely take days. Check with your airline. Tweeting at them can be faster than getting through a jammed phone line.

Trains: Amtrak reports no service changes, but check your train status before leaving home.

Automobiles: Get out early if you can and then stay off the roads as conditions will only worsen. By nightfall, near-blizzard conditions along the coast are possible.
