A Southwest Airlines jet carrying 138 passengers and crew rolled off off a taxiway at Nashville International Airport in Tennessee, authorities said. Eight people were injured.
Southwest Airlines Flight 31, a Boeing 737 aircraft flying from Houston, ended up stuck in the grass while taxiing to its gate about 5:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. ET), officials told NBC News. Passengers left the aircraft by stairs and were bused to the terminal.
The Nashville Fire Department said Tuesday night that eight people were transported to TriStar Summit Medical Center suffering mostly minor bumps and bruises.
The Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating.
