Where can your child wear their pajamas, bring along their favorite stuffed animal or blanket, and enjoy a great story? At Family Story Evening at your local Spokane County Library District branch library! Kids and parents (or another adult) are encouraged to come enjoy stories together one evening a week. The evening story time provides an alternative for children who are unable to attend story time programs during the day.

Other Spokane County Library District story time programs include Baby Lap sits, for children ages birth through 18 months, where little ones site on their grown-ups laps and listen to simple stories that introduce the rhythm and beauty of language; Toddler Story Times for ages 1 ½ to 3 years, a 20 minute program of simple picture books, finger plays, and a flannel board story or a puppet; and Preschool Story Times for the 3 to 5 year old set, featuring picture books, finger plays, songs, puppets and occasional crafts and games. The libraries also offer a story time for 2 to 5 year olds that combine the elements of toddler and preschool story time.
