Joshua Verporter rolled a 278 game and added a 299 high game of the week, finishing off with a United States Bowling Congress 825 Honor Series in the Certified Collision Men's Trios league at Stuart Lanes last week. Julie Coker topped the women's scores with a 734 series and 255 high game in the My Barbershop II, Inc. league.

Tyler Westling led the boys' series with a 724, highlighted with games of 258 213 and 257. Michael Kuzevski tossed the top game of 264. Emma Nunan outscored the girls with a 522 series and 194 game in the Stuart Lanes Juniors.

JENSEN BEACH BOWL

Bobby McCurrach once again led the way with the top series of 717 and high game of 279, while Brenda Ford had the top women's series with a 569.

Lora Garland rolled the high game 226. All were in the Ball and Chain league.

Thomas Barry led the boys with a 556 series and Philip Pieniazek had the high game of 222. Nicole Sprague led the girls with a 492 series, including a 180 top game in the PBA Experience Scholarship league.

• Jenny Brown, 17, of Deland and Adam Martinez of San Antonio, Texas, won the United States Bowling Congress 2007 Junior Gold Championships in Buffalo, N.Y., on Friday.

Brown totaled 6,078, an average of 202.6 per game .

Martinez rolled a 30-game total of 6,189 for an average of 206.3.

A total of 1,600 youth players from across the country vied for $100,000 in scholarships and a spot on the Junior Team USA 2008.

T.J. Baral of Stuart, who bowls at Stuart Lanes, made the semi-finals and finished 45th with a total of 4,714 for 24 games.
