While Spiedie Fest celebrates its 25th year this weekend, its co-ed beach volleyball tournament turns 21. The tourney features 4 member competitive teams on Saturday and 6 member recreational teams on Sunday. For the first time in its history, both days are completely full with 20 teams each. Organizer Dale Albeck says it's the largest volleyball tournament in the area. Dale Albeck says, It's a lot of fun involved, not too expensive. The courts are in great shape. The county keeps them manicured very well. Spiedie Fest starts next Friday with a free admission day. Free passes must be picked up at local Wendys or Lupo's S and S Char Pit. You must have a Spiedie Fest button to enter the concerts. A 15 dollar button, good for all 3 days, can be purchased at Giant Markets, Wegmans and Horizons Federal Credit Union.
