Clay County deputies have busted what they called a methamphetamine manufacturing operation found inside a Middleburg home on Friday night.

Deputies in full hazardous materials suits worked overnight to gather evidence and break down the alleged operation at the home in the 4000 block of Deer Trail. Meth labs can be dangerous because the process includes several volatile chemicals.

Charles Barbour, 35, Kenneth Wigner, 34, and Stephen Meggs, 23, were charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth.

Barbour was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
