(Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that Fred Thomas has been promoted to Vice President of Operations for its Public Safety and Security (PSS) Division effective January 1, 2011. In this position, Mr. Thomas will report to Ben Goodwin, President of the Public Safety and Security Division and be responsible for overseeing all operational, programmatic, and customer overall development aspects of the PSS Division. Mr. Thomas' promotion supports Kratos' broader corporate strategy to expand its presence in the critical infrastructure, homeland security, surveillance and public safety market, which also included the recent acquisition of Henry Brothers Electronics in December 2010.
Mr. Thomas brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He joined Kratos in 2003 following the acquisition of Delmarva Systems Corporation, a leading security systems integrator Mr. Thomas founded with his father in 1981. Since the acquisition, Mr. Thomas has served as the Vice President and General Manager of Kratos Mid-Atlantic, Kratos' largest and most successful public safety and security region. He has almost 30 years experience as a security systems integrator developing and implementing solutions for a broad array of commercial and military clients.
