"This is an important way to connect with our supporters, alumni and newcomers to inform them about the value Global Kids provides as we develop global competency and 21st century skills among young people. We are eager to do well in this competition because funds raised will help us expand our programs in New York City and Washington, D.C., and send Global Kids youth to Brazil and Kenya this summer, and more," says Evie Hantzopoulos, Executive Director, Global Kids.
"For me, Global Kids meant a door of opportunity. Throughout my experience with Global Kids, I was exposed to a variety of issues ranging from human rights to war crimes. It also provided me with platforms to take action on issues that I care about. With their help, I co-founded the Global Kids Scholarship Fund and organized two Global Kids Annual Conferences," says Dear Aunaetitrakul, a 2006 alumna of the program.
