There’s lots of news this morning in the Anthony Weiner sex-texting scandal. First, Anthony Weiner has released a new campaign video vowing to stay in the race. Next, Politico is reporting Weiner’s wife Huma Abedin is taking a break from her job with Hillary Clinton, though sources say it’s not a leave of absence. People magazine is reporting Abedin nearly left Weiner when she learned of the new round of texts, but stayed in the marriage because of their son. And a Weiner campaign aide is apologizing for an offensive tirade against a former intern. As Weiner’s problems multiply, it looks increasingly likely that this campaign will end very badly.

Meanwhile, the other race in New York City — between Eliot Spitzer and Scott Stringer for city comptroller — is getting ugly as well.
