The former congressman and failed NYC mayoral candidate suggested in a Facebook post that his political career may not be over yet.

It looks like America hasn’t seen the last of Anthony Weiner.

The former congressman and failed New York mayoral candidate hinted in a Facebook post Thursday that his political career may not be over yet.

The New York Democrat thanked his supporters in the post, adding: “What’s next? I’ll keep you posted on my plans. But I hope we keep the band together.”

He continued, “Who knows, maybe I have a third book of ideas in me!”

Weiner has largely shied away from the public since dropping out of the mayoral race. His campaign imploded following revelations that he continued to send racy texts to women even after he resigned from Congress over similar behavior in 2011.

In his Facebook post, Weiner reflected back on the past year, saying 2013 “certainly didn’t go as I had hoped.”

“I continue to be deeply sorry that my personal mistakes undermined an amazing campaign,” he said. Weiner added that his marriage to Huma Abedin, an aide to Hillary Clinton, was “buoyed by the kind wishes of countless friends and total strangers.”
