Winter storm slams East Coast

Heavy snowfall and swirling winds make for brutal weather.

A winter storm dropped more than a foot of snow up the East Coast on Tuesday with forecasters seeing heavy precipitation continuing into Wednesday morning. The storm has already led to thousands of flight cancellations, heavy traffic an closed government offices. Kids across the region were hoping for a snow day.
