RCAS Gives Away Free Meals to Students

Over 2,700 students at Rapid City Area Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of income, beginning this fall. The new federal program called the Community Eligibility Provision allows districts to offer free breakfast and lunch to students at schools with 40% or more children certified as qualifying for free meals. The six schools include: Horace Mann, Knollwood, General Deadle, Tobbinsdale, South Park, and North Middle School.
