OFA radio ads target Boehner, Cantor on immigration reform

President Obama's Organizing for Action is airing new Spanish-language radio ads pressuring a handful of House members -- including the top three GOP leaders as well as one Democrat -- to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

"Only a group of obstructionists in the House of Representatives are standing in the way -- determined to block comprehensive immigration reform," says one narrator translated into English.

"Forcing millions to live in fear of deportation and tearing families apart," adds another.

The radio ads target five House members:

-- Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) whose district has a 3% Latino population;

-- Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) whose district has a 5% Latino population;

-- Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) whose district has a 35.5% Latino population;

-- Gary Miller (R-CA) whose district has 49% Latino population;

-- Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) whose district has a 29% Latino population.

The script of the Boehner ad (translated into English):

Female VO: President Obama. The Democrats. And the Republicans in the US Senate all agree.

Male VO: They have a bi-partisan solution to America’s immigration problem.

Female VO: Their plan will give 11 million people a pathway to citizenship.

Male VO: And ensure that DREAMers can get a college degree and proudly serve in the military.
