When American Pharaoh sped down the stretch at Belmont to became the first horse in 37 years to win the Triple Crown Saturday, the crowd attending the Belmont Stakes went wild, and so did fans on social media.
The 3-year-old horse bested the field by 5 1/2 lengths, beating seven other horses that were more rested than he was going into the 1 1/2 mile race.
