The Ohio fugitive who gained notoriety Tuesday for sending cops a selfie because he hated his mugshot has been nabbed in Florida, authorities said.

"Got him! Chip 'The Selfie guy' Pugh has been arrested in Florida," police in Lima, Ohio, tweeted later Tuesday, while including pictures of selfie-loving suspect Donald A. Chip Pugh.

The circumstances surrounding Pugh's capture were not immediately clear, but Ohio authorities thanked the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in the Florida Panhandle for its help. The sheriff's office said it arrested him around 11 a.m. ET after receiving a tip.

Pugh, 45, was wanted for failing to appear in court on a DUI charge and is also a person of interest in other cases, including an arson and vandalism, police said.

Lima police had released a mugshot of Pugh, but the suspect was apparently unhappy with the picture, and snapped a selfie of himself wearing sunglasses and seated in a car, which he then gave the cops.

"Here is a better photo that one is terrible," Pugh wrote, according to police, who posted the new pic on Facebook last week.

Escambia authorities, meanwhile, joked that Pugh might like his latest mugshot in Florida better.
