Residents at Mission Creek Senior Community gathered on the roof of their building to witness a fire burning in San Francisco on Tuesday.

The blaze at an apartment building under construction near AT&T Park sent an enormous plume of black smoke high into the sky.

About 150 firefighters responded to the blaze, NBC Bay Area reported. One of them was taken to hospital after suffering minor burns.
