Anne Hathaway confesses to mooning co-star

You don't usually associate elegant Anne Hathaway with college-boy-like pranks, but the actress confessed to TODAY's Matt Lauer that she mooned co-star Jim Sturgess while shooting her new romantic drama, "One Day," in Scotland.

"The street was locked off, but we were in front of an apartment building," Hathaway said. "It was a little naive."

She then confessed that she's "terrified" to Google herself for fear that someone in the building had a camera out and snapped photographic evidence of her indiscretion.

Hathaway noted that she herself has been mooned "plenty of times" on movie sets, but never been the "mooner" before.  "I decided to be a little naughty and go for it, and it blew right up in my face," she said with a laugh.

But not everyone found the prank embarrassing. Hathaway told Lauer that one older gentleman watching the scene gave Sturgess a thumbs-up after Hathaway's gesture.

Hathaway and Lauer also discussed the difficult structure of "One Day," which focuses on the same day of the year over 20 years in a relationship, her recent anti-paparazzi rap on "Conan," and how she's not allowed to leak any secrets from "The Dark Knight Rises," the 2012 Batman film in which she plays Catwoman.
