One story, one network, two reactions

In February, Fox News' Roger Ailes acknowledged that his cable news network intends to "articulate" a specific message to Latino voters: "Republicans have a lot more opportunity for them." That's usually not the job of an ostensibly independent news organization, but that's what he said.

And now we're seeing the manifestation of those intentions. Solange Uwimana noted that Fox News' website ran this headline and image this week, following the Associated Press' announcement that it will no longer use the phrase "illegal immigrant."

Fox News Latino, however, ran a very different headline and image.

Notice the not-so-subtle difference?

Solange Uwimana added, "Fox News and Fox News Latino have repeatedly tailored coverage of the same news event to pander to their respective audiences." Imagine that.
