Romney wins Nebraska, Oregon primaries

Mitt Romney won the Nebraska and Oregon Republican primaries on Tuesday, adding to his delegate haul in his march toward the GOP presidential nomination. 

The Associated Press declared Romney the winner in Nebraska which, along with Oregon, hosted its nominating process on Tuesday.

NBC News declared Romney as the projected winner in Oregon late Tuesday, with 62 percent of precincts reporting.

Romney no longer faces any meaningful opposition from other Republican challengers after Texas Rep. Ron Paul, the last of the remaining GOP candidates, said he wouldn't actively campaign in any remaining primaries. 

The former Massachusetts governor entered the evening with 973 of the 1,144 delegates needed to win the nomination.
