Victoria and David Beckham welcomed their fourth child, daughter Harper Seven, into the world early Sunday morning. She joins big brothers Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8 1/2, and Cruz, 6 1/2. Seeing Harper in that eclectic name lineup raises the question, how did the Beckhams settle on her name?
A source close to People told the magazine that Harper is an old English name that Victoria has always loved, and seven is considered a lucky spiritual number. Additionally, it just so happens that Harper was born Sunday morning (the seventh day), weighing 7 pounds in the seventh hour (7:55 a.m.) of the seventh month.
And there may be a personal reason as well: Dad David wore number seven on his jersey when he played for Manchester United and for the English national team.
