A huge crowd rushed to save a unicyclist who was trapped under a London double-decker bus on Thursday, video filmed by a bystander shows.
Dozens of people can be seen moving the bus backwards and forwards on a northeast London street as shouts and screams ring out. Witnesses told NBC News' British partner ITV News that people ran from nearby restaurants to help save the unicyclist.
"Please, please, please, please — oh my god!" one bystander can be heard crying out.
The incident occurred after the unicyclist "collided" with the bus, Transport for London said in a statement.
"The male unicyclist was taken by London ambulance to an east London hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition," police said in a statement, adding that no arrests had been made.
Police and bus company officials said they were investigating the incident.
