Michael Gross played dad Steven Keaton. After the series ended, he went on to star in the 'Tremors" movies and also appeared in several TV shows, including "How I Met Your Mother" and "Law & Order." Through 2009, the avid model train enthusiast also appeared as a recurring character on the daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless."

The actress received four Emmy nominations throughout her career and went on to direct and star in TV movies.

Currently, she spends her time promoting her skin care line, Meredith Baxter Simple Works, and helping raise funds for breast cancer research.

Baxter, who has been married and divorced three times, revealed on TODAY that she is a lesbian and has been in a relationship with a woman for four years.

Michael J. Fox

The star won three Emmys and a Golden Globe award for his role as Reagan-worshipping, young Republican Alex. P. Keaton, who often clashed with his liberal parents.

Fox also played Marty McFly in the "Back to the Future" trilogy and starred in the TV show "Spin City" from 1996 to 2000. In 2009, he appeared in five episodes of the TV show "Rescue Me."

The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 and continues to work as an advocate for others with the disease through The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Justine Bateman

The least studious of the Keaton children, Mallory, was played by Justine Bateman.

After "Family Ties," she worked on several TV movies. She made a brief comeback on the short-lived series "Men Behaving Badly," and appeared on shows including "Arrested Development," Californication" and "Desperate Housewives."

Bateman is now co-starring in the second season of an Ikea-sponsored web comedy called 'Easy to Assemble." She recently made headlines in the blogosphere after an outburst on Twitter.

Tina Yothers

Cute baby sister Jennifer Keaton grew up and ditched her blond locks in pursuit of rock star dreams after "Family Ties" ended.

Yothers returned to acting in 2005, playing the lead in "Lovelace: The Musical," a stage show based on the life of porn star Lina Lovelace.

She married her electrician husband in 2002 and has two children. In 2006, she joined VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" reality show and lost 42 pounds. Two years later she came back for "Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp" after she had a child and lost 34 pounds. She and her family live in Ontario, California.

Brian Bonsall

The actor grew up to be far more troubled than the character he played on "Family Ties," kid brother Andy Keaton.

Bonsall retired from acting in 1995, dropped out of high school and became a musician. In 2001, he got a DUI and in 2007 he received probation for assaulting his girlfriend. He allegedly violated the conditions of his probation by failing to attend domestic violence classes and failing a Breathalyzer test. Bonsall remains a fugitive.

Marc Price

The Keatons' dorky neighbor Irwin Handelman, better known as Skippy, spent his days in love with Mallory.

Marc Price, who played Skippy, stayed in the entertainment business and still works as a stand-up comedian, using his experiences on "Family Ties" as fodder for his routine. In 2006, he was a contestant on "Last Comic Standing."

Courtney Cox

Prior to playing her best-known role as Monica Geller in the sitcom "Friends," Courtney Cox was Lauren Miller, the girlfriend of Alex P. Keaton.

Cox, along with other female "Friends" castmembers, went on to become the highest paid TV actress of all time, raking in $1 million per episode.

She married David Arquette in 1999 and has one child. She is currently starring in the ABC comedy "Cougar Town" and recently confirmed that she would star in the fourth installment of the "Scream" movie series.

Tracy Pollan

Pollan went on to do a guest appearance in "Law & Order: SVU," which garnered her an Emmy nomination. She's been in numerous TV movies and recently starred in a Lifetime movie as the mother of Natalee Halloway, the 18-year-old who went missing in Aruba.

Scott Valentine

Mallory's dim-witted, artsy boyfriend Nick Moore was portrayed by Scott Valentine. As the character, he starred in a spinoff titled "The Art of Being Nick," of which only one episode aired.
