A Pittsburgh resident is believed to be among the missing passengers on the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

Chng Mei Ling lived in the South Park area of the city, according to NBC affiliate WPXI, and had worked with Flexsys America LP since 2005, her Linked In profile states. She is listed as a Malaysian national on the passenger manifest.

Her uncle Koon Chim Wa told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that she was making her way home to America.

A statement released to WPXI from Flexsys' parent company Eastman said they were "deeply saddened" by the news.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of those on the flight and especially to the family of our friend and co-worker," they said.

Chng started out as a production engineer at the company in 2005, working her way up to senior process engineer, according to her Linked In profile.
