A campaign to protest anti-gay laws in Russia during the Olympics has picked up some high-profile support from Rihanna.

The singer posted a photo to Instagram late Saturday showing off a P6 cap. That’s short for Principle 6, a clause in the Olympic charter that says discrimination is “incompatible” with the Olympic movement.

The International Olympic Committee restricts political statements, so gay rights groups are using the P6 campaign to get the word out about repression of Russian gays.

Belle Brockhoff, an openly gay Australian snowboarder, took notice of Rihanna’s support before Brockhoff competed in snowboard cross on Sunday in Sochi.
