He may not have played in the final — in fact, he was only on the field for a total of 54 minutes in the tournament — but Germany's Lukas Podolski celebrated his team's World Cup victory like a true champion Sunday night.

The Arsenal forward got things started by posing for a selfie with teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger, and before the night was out the prolific tweeter was sharing photos of himself with Chancellor Angela Merkel and Germany's new biggest fan Rihanna.

But perhaps the cutest image of the night came after most of the crowd had drifted away, when Podolski's six-year-old son Louis stepped up to take penalties against his dad on the hallowed turf of the Maracana.
