You used to stream him on your cellphone, now Drake gets your love as the most popular artist of the year on Spotify.

Overall, Drizzy was streamed more than 1.8 billion times by around 46 million listeners in 2015, the company revealed on Tuesday morning. While Drake grabbed the top spot for most-streamed artist, The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind The Madness" was the most-streamed album with 60 million listeners.

Rihanna was the most popular female artist on Spotify. RiRi racked up 1 billion streams from 57 million listeners.

Don't worry, Beliebers, your favorite artist also set a record in 2015. Justin Bieber's songs were played 36 million times on Spotify in a single day, the most for any artist.

Overall, Spotify seems to be doing fine despite the high-profile launch of Apple Music in June. The streaming service boasted 75 million active users and 20 million paying subscribers. In contrast, Apple Music has attracted 6.5 million customers to its service, which, like Spotify Premium, costs $9.99 a month. (Pandora still rules the roost with around 80 million active users, although they can't stream songs on-demand — instead they click stations that choose songs for them).

Spotify also claimed its Discover Weekly personalized playlists as a success, noting that they "reached 1.7 billion streams in just 5 months."
