Looks like Tomb Raider leading lady Lara Croft will be joining BioShock Infinite's main man Booker DeWitt in the game development waiting room.

Game studio Crystal Dynamics announced that its highly anticipated reboot of the famed Tomb Raider franchise has been pushed back from fall 2012 to 2013.

Studio head Darrell Gallagher announced the delay Sunday on the official Tomb Raider blog

Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game’s release date by a few months ... We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve. We believe this is the right choice and I guarantee it will be worth the wait.

Sound familiar? Take Two and Irrational Games last week announced that they too were delaying the launch of "BioShock Infinite" to 2013. Like the developers at Crystal Dynamics, they said the delay would help make sure the team had the time it needed to make the game "extraordinary."

Though Irrational Games also announced it would not be showing "BioShock Infinite" at this year's E3 games conference, the folks at Crystal Dynamics said they would be showing off new Tomb Raider content at the June show.

So what do you think? Do you mind these delays? Or would you rather wait and hope the games live up to the hype and anticipation?
