Nintendo is bringing Fox McCloud, Slippy and the whole Star Fox gang back for the Wii U.
The company unveiled "Star Fox Zero" on Tuesday in a digital presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.
While fans knew a new Star Fox game was in the works, they didn't know it would be coming so soon. "Star Fox Zero" will be released sometime this holiday season.
The original "Star Fox" was released in 1993 for Super Nintendo. In the new version, gamers will be able to transform their flying Arwing fighter into a walking mech and aim using the cockpit view on the GamePad controller's screen.
Nintendo also announced several other Wii U games, including "Super Mario Maker," which lets players create 2-D scrolling levels from past Super Mario Bros. games, and "Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash." Nostalgic Nintendo fans will be able to play "Metroid Prime: Federation Force" for the 3DS sometime in 2016.
