The deal
Who doesn’t dream of a sunny holiday in wintertime? Most of us do, so we scoured the travel market to find you the best of sun-drenched getaways during the peak season. What we found are three cheap ways of travelling to the sun, with airfare and hotel-inclusive rates starting at just $716! Just pick your destination between Bermuda, Acapulco or Aruba and head toward the sun.

Bermuda holiday this winter for $716
To enjoy luxury perks at three-star prices, we suggest the steal of a Bermuda deal we found on Expedia. This four-night escape is now priced at just $716 for travel through March 31. It covers roundtrip airfare from New York and lodging at exclusive Fairmont Hamilton Princess, a landmark property described by Wcities.com as a “majestic hotel ... an icon of European luxury and one of Bermuda's largest and most revered resorts”. Perks include top-notch facilities and complimentary shuttle to the beach and golf course of its nearby sister hotel.

Jet off from Chicago to Acapulco for $890
For a holiday under the Mexican sun, there’s no better deal around than the Expedia package we scoured. For a mere $890, it gets you four nights at deluxe Las Brisas Acapulco and the flight from Chicago. To be noted — this terrific price is only valid on the February 14 departure! Of the property, Frommer’s writes, “This is a local landmark, often considered Acapulco's signature hotel ... Perched on a hillside overlooking the bay, Las Brisas is known for its tiered pink stucco facade, private pools, and 175 pink Jeeps rented exclusively to guests.”

All-inclusive vacation on Aruba for $1,129
Dreaming of an all-inclusive getaway where you won’t have to lift a finger and will instead just lounge around soaking up the sun? We’ve got the deal for you. Vacation Outlet offers a discount of 20 percent off an all-inclusive five-night holiday at Tamarijn Aruba, now priced at $1,129 with air from Boston. Fodor’s writes, “... on lovely Druif Beach, this resort's two-story buildings stretch along the shore. Rooms all have beach views and simple, tasteful rattan and wicker furnishings. The large balconies are great places to enjoy the sunset or spend some quiet time.”

The dollars
The rates above are listed per person, based on double occupancy. We’ve checked regular winter rates at the above hotels in Bermuda and Acapulco and they run over $500 for an overnight in a double room! At the Aruba resort, all-inclusive stays cost upward of $200/night per person. When you take into account that all three packages cover roundtrip airfare from the U.S. cities listed above, the savings you’re reaping are substantial.

The catch
You won’t be able to avoid other winter sun-worshippers.
