Montreal, QC and Bethlehem, PA, May 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CGI Group and Adaptik Corporation today announced that they have formed a strategic partnership. Under this partnership, the two companies will fully integrate PolicyWriter, Adaptik’s adaptive policy administration solution, with Ratabase, CGI’s industry-leading rating engine. The partnership enables carriers to leverage a "Best-of-Breed" solution with the predictable implementation of an "All-in-One" solution. Additionally, Adaptik and CGI will work together on upcoming implementation projects, with CGI being Adaptik’s preferred integration partner.

All of the integration between CGI's Ratabase and Adaptik's PolicyWriter has been completed.  With Adaptik's predictable and streamlined integration process, carriers can expect improved speed-to- market and a reduction in implementation costs and risk.

"Our partnership and the way we have decided to move forward with our relationship with CGI has already garnered a lot of interest," said John Pettit, President and CEO of Adaptik Corporation. "From the beginning our focus has been to assist P&C carriers with the ever-changing market challenges, and integration of multiple solutions has always been an issue. P&C insurance carriers will now get the best of both worlds."

Benefits of Ratabase and PolicyWriter integration:

  • Both Adaptik and CGI will maintain the connection between the two solutions.
  • CGI will be the preferred implementation partner for PolicyWriter.
  • CGI and Adaptik will work together on an exclusive basis in the United States to pursue and win policy administration software sales with P&C insurance carriers that require the functional richness of and already integrated best-of-breed policy admin and rating solution.
  • CGI and Adaptik will leverage the core strengths of each company to offer PolicyWriter/Ratabase to customers as part of a managed service offering.

"This important and unique partnership delivers a true best-of-breed integrated solution to mid and upper tier P&C insurance companies by combining CGI's Ratabase and Adaptik’s PolicyWriter while leveraging CGI's best-in-class delivery capabilities and track record of successful, on-time and on-budget implementations," said Jim Kelsey, Vice President of the CGI Insurance Solutions Group.
