“NBC Nightly News” now available on Android

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” announced that the “Nightly News” app is now available on Android Market. The “Nightly News” Android app is the first app of its kind for an evening news program.  This dynamic and easy-to-use app makes it easy for consumers to watch the latest “Nightly News” broadcast and stay on top of the day’s biggest news stories on NBCNightlyNews.com.

“We're proud to be the only evening newscast in the Android Market,” said Patrick Burkey, Executive Producer of NBC Nightly News. “With this new addition to our innovative collection of mobile apps, viewers can connect with 'NBC Nightly News' wherever they are – at home, online, or on the go.”

The free “Nightly News” Android app lets viewers join Brian Williams and the “NBC Nightly News” team seven days a week for the latest political coverage, cutting-edge health and science reports, inspiring "Making a Difference" profiles, and the most important stories at home and around the world.

“We’re committed to making our unique content available whenever and however you want to view, read, follow and participate with it,” said Jennifer Sizemore, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of the Msnbc Digital Network. “’Nightly News’ joins our suite of products on Android devices.”

The app is another engaging way to stay connected to America's number one evening broadcast.  Viewers can watch individual segments from the "Nightly News" broadcast or watch the broadcast in its entirety.  Users can also read the “Daily Nightly” blog, check out the top headlines from msnbc.com, and share stories from their Facebook or Twitter pages right from the app.
