President Joe Biden faced one of the most consequential speeches of his presidency Thursday night: his final State of the Union address before the presidential election.

In the days before the speech, advisers said the president will attempt to show Americans the realities of the choices they have to make in November’s general election. During the actual speech, Biden covered more than a dozen topics, making a call to fix the border as well as defend reproductive rights.
